PSFF
Palm Springs Film Festival rebranding based on RISO printing.
The Palm Springs Film Festival (PSFF) is one of the largest film festivals in North America. Located in the Coachella Valley in Southern California, its mission is to cultivate and promote the art and science of film through education and cross-cultural awareness.
The new identity colors are inspired by Palm Springs’ sunsets. Using Florecnet Pink and Sun Orange of RISO printing to bring out the vibrancy on print.

Interactive installation designLocation: Palm Springs Cultural Center Lobby.Right panel is an interactive experience with sunset gradients. Left panel is the officially selected films of the film festival. This prototype is coded with Processing & manually controlled by Touch OSC. In future development would be created through a sensor to track audiences’ movements.

Website design & embeded generative logo type
(Coded with Processing)
This project uses custom software to generate different logos made from the "camera focus" logotype. The logo acts as a frame for content like director names, films, awards, as well as photography and video. The software has three modes: one for inputting text into the frame, one for inputting photography/video, and one for applying a RISO print effect to the output. Through these different modes, you can create a logo that is dynamic and changes in response to the content.
